Ohio’s closest Senate race in a decade
Cleveland Plain Dealer
It may be hard to remember, but little more than a year ago, Democrats were struggling to find a candidate willing to challenge Republican Sen. Mike DeWine. Now, with two weeks until Election Day, Ohioans are watching the state's closest U.S. Senate race in more than a decade. DeWine, who easily beat Democratic novices to win his first two Senate terms, is widely seen as one of the most vulnerable incumbents in the nation as he tries to parry a fierce challenge from seven-term congressman Sherrod Brown, who entered the race last October.
