WKYC: Connie Takes a Break to Join Campaign Fulltime

Cleveland NBC affiliate WKYC profiles Connie's last day at the Plain Dealer before taking leave a leave of absence for the rest of the campaign.

Sherrod's wife, Connie Schultz, is a Pulitzer Prize winning columnist at the Cleveland Plain Dealer. She announced in her column yesterday that she would be joining us full time on the campaign trail to help elect Sherrod to the U.S. Senate.

Ohio Statewide Candidate Forum

Despite the nasty weather, we had a fantastic day on the road.

Sherrod got a great response from the crowd at the Statewide Candidate Forum sponsored by DFA, Blue 88 and Upper Arlington Progressive Action.

We then traveled over to Deleware to visit supporters at the Bank Farm Market and the Mean Bean coffee shop.

Strickland Shows Support for Brown in Steubenville

Steubenville, OH

Congressman and gubernatorial candidate Ted Strickland showed his strong support for Sherrod's candidacy for the U.S. Senate in Steubenville last night. Strickland told a packed crowd of his constituents at the River Boat Room:

"If you want our trade policies reversed and changed, and if you want the working people of this country to have a good friend who will put himself and his career on the line for you, you want Sherrod Brown in the U.S. Senate," said Strickland.
