COLUMBUS, OH – Friends of Sherrod Brown and IBEW Local 1466 signed a collective bargaining agreement recognizing non-management campaign staff.
“We are proud to recognize our campaign staff under IBEW 1466,” said Senator Sherrod Brown. “They are advancing the Dignity of Work in Ohio and across the country every day and I stand in solidarity with them.”
“Campaigns are often demanding and rigorous environments and it is crucial staff have a seat at the table to bargain for fair representation and good conditions,” said Jason Wright, IBEW Local 1466 President and Business Manager. “We appreciate Sherrod’s willingness to recognize his staff and look forward to representing them throughout the campaign.”
Sherrod has always fought for the Dignity of Work to make sure hard work pays off for all Ohioans – from leading the fight to expand overtime pay for workers, to cracking down on wage theft, to guaranteeing paid sick days and family leave for workers. Sherrod is also working to pass the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act to hold corporations accountable for violating workers’ rights and level the playing field for all workers trying to unionize.
