Sherrod Brown Statement on the Anniversary of the Affordable Care Act

COLUMBUS, OH  – Senator Sherrod Brown released the following statement today on the 14th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act being signed into law:

“No family should have to choose between paying rent or buying groceries and getting the prescriptions and medical care they need. That’s why I’ve always stood up to Big Pharma to lower drug costs for Ohioans and worked to make sure every family has access to the quality, affordable healthcare they deserve. While I’m fighting to protect Medicare, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and ensure all children have access to healthcare, Bernie Moreno is looking out for himself and has already said he would dismantle the ACA and rip healthcare away from millions of Ohioans.”

While Sherrod fights for Ohioans, Bernie Moreno would overturn the Affordable Care Act:

  • Bernie Moreno: “We have to let the markets work…That’s answer number one on health care.”
  • Heartland Signal: All three Ohio Republican Senate candidates are willing to repeal Affordable Care Act
