COLUMBUS, OH – Today, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) endorsed Senator Sherrod Brown for reelection. SEIU represents a diverse group of workers that share Sherrod’s commitment to making sure hard work pays off for everyone.

Sherrod has always fought for SEIU workers and the Dignity of Work to make sure hard work pays off for everyone:
- Sherrod introduced the Nurse Staffing Standards for Hospital Patient Safety and Quality Care Act to implement nurse-to-patient ratio requirements and whistleblower protections so nurses can advocate for their patients without fear of retaliation.
- Sherrod urged the Cleveland Clinic’s Lutheran Hospital to reach a fair agreement with hospital workers represented by the Service Employees International Union.
- Sherrod introduced the Nursing Home Improvement and Accountability Act to ensure nursing homes and their workers have the necessary resources to care for patients and prepare for public health emergencies.
- Sherrod introduced the Protecting the Right to Organize Act to protect workers’ rights to bargain for fairer wages, better benefits, and safer working conditions.
- Sherrod introduced the Restoring Overtime Pay Act to enshrine overtime pay protections into law and expand who qualifies for overtime pay so millions more Americans are paid for the hours they work.
- Sherrod championed the Child Tax Credit expansion to provide working families with financial relief to accommodate the rising prices of healthcare, childcare, and housing.
- Sherrod introduced the Part-Time Worker Bill of Rights Act to expand pension and family leave benefits and give part-time workers more control over their schedule.
