Chip in $20 to support Sherrod Brown's Campaign

The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Endorses Senator Sherrod Brown for Reelection

COLUMBUS, OH  – Today, the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) endorsed Senator Sherrod Brown for reelection. UFCW shares Sherrod’s mission to make sure hard work pays off and that every worker can retire with the dignity they’ve earned. Sherrod’s Butch Lewis Act saved the retirements of over 20,000 UFCW members.

“I am honored to have UFCW by my side in our fight to ensure workers receive the wages and benefits they deserve,” said Senator Sherrod Brown. “UFCW workers support Ohio families on the frontlines, from working in our grocery stores, to meat packing plants, to our hospitals. Ohioans rely on UFCW workers everyday and UFCW workers know they can rely on me to continue fighting for them.”

“Senator Sherrod Brown is a true champion of labor,” said UFCW International President Marc Perrone. “From his support of essential front-line workers in farming, meat processing, and grocery, to protecting the hard-earned pensions and retirement security of union members, to promoting fairness on the job for all workers, Sen. Brown has been a steadfast voice in the Senate for working people and their families. His advocacy for critical rights and protections, including the right of any person to unionize their workplace, has helped improve countless lives throughout Ohio and the entire country. We firmly endorse Sen. Brown and look forward to continuing our work with him as a legislator with a clear vision for making workplaces better, safer, and more just.”

“Senator Brown has looked out for workers and UFCW members his entire career,” said UFCW Local 880. “His introduction of the bipartisan bill to lower food costs and strengthen supply chains demonstrates just how much he understands working families in Northeast Ohio. Without him fighting for us, Ohioans would be far worse off.”

“Senator Brown knows that a thriving economy in Central Ohio benefits everyone, including our hard-working members,” said UFCW Local 1059. “He was a leader in passing the CHIPS and Science Act which will bring thousands of good paying jobs to our region and be a major driver of growth.”

“Because of the work done by Senator Brown to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act, the Kraft Heinz plant will receive over 16 million dollars that will help create more good paying union jobs,” said UFCW Local 75. “Local 75 is proud to stand with him and endorse him for another term representing our great state.”
