COLUMBUS, OH – On the 66th anniversary of NASA’s founding, Sherrod continues to lead efforts to strengthen Ohio’s aerospace and aviation industries and maintain Ohio’s leadership in aerospace technology.
“From the Wright Brothers, Neil Armstrong, and John Glenn, to the men and women working at NASA today, no state has a better claim to the aerospace industry than Ohio. I will continue fighting to make sure Ohio’s NASA facilities and workers have the resources they need to create jobs and maintain Ohio’s status as a leader in aerospace technology,” said Sherrod.
Sherrod has always fought to strengthen Ohio’s aerospace industry and protect aerospace workers, from securing critical investments for NASA Glenn in Cleveland and the Neil Armstrong Test facility in Sandusky, to passing the CHIPS Act that includes funding for technology being developed at NASA Glenn, to renaming NASA’s Sandusky facility in honor of Ohio native Neil Armstrong, to pushing the Department of Defense to locate a Space Force mission training facility at the NASA training center in Sandusky.
