KINSMAN, OH – Today, Ohio Farmers Union President Joe Logan, former Air Force pilot and farmer Ted Logan, Army veteran John Davis, and local farmer Tim Bonar hosted a “Rural Buckeyes for Sherrod” event in Kinsman.
The “Rural Buckeyes for Sherrod” event highlighted Sherrod’s record of delivering for Ohio’s rural communities and issues that are important to all Ohioans.
“One thing I know for sure about Sherrod Brown: he’s one good guy. He takes the time to listen to Ohioans and then brings our ideas to Washington and puts them into action,” said former Air Force Pilot and farmer Ted Logan.
“Just recently, Sherrod’s All American Flag Act was signed into law. And while Sherrod ran into obstacles every time he introduced it, Sherrod persisted because he understands how important this bill is for our country, our veterans, and our servicemembers.”
“We know exactly where Sherrod stands, he stands on the side of Ohioans. From creating jobs and economic opportunities in rural communities to protecting access to rural healthcare, cutting costs, and supporting Ohio farmers, Sherrod supports all Ohioans – no matter who they are, where they live, or what they do,” said Ohio Farmers Union President Joe Logan.
“Sherrod Brown has always been a steadfast advocate for Ohio’s military community and those who have served our nation. When Sherrod heard about toxic burn pits and the devastating effects they were having on Ohio veterans, he lept into action to pass legislation that made sure veterans have access to the health care and benefits they earned,” said Army veteran John Davis.
“Earlier this year, Sherrod worked across the aisle to allow E-15 fuel to be sold throughout the summer, lowering gas costs for Ohioans and benefiting corn farmers like myself,” said local farmer Tim Bonar. “Sherrod has always been willing to put party politics aside, work across the aisle, and do what’s right for our state – that’s what makes him different.”

Sherrod hosted veteran roundtables in Trumbull County and across the state to ensure veterans are aware of the benefits available to them through the PACT Act.
- Sherrod passed the All American Flag Act, ensuring that flags that fly over government buildings and military bases are made in America, by American workers.
