- Sherrod helped find common ground with Republicans to pass and sign into law the PACT Act – a law that will ensure veterans exposed to toxic burn pits during their service can get the health care they need and deserve.
- Sherrod led the fight to save the pensions of 100,000 Ohioans through the Butch Lewis Act – and named the legislation after an Ohio Teamster.
- Sherrod led the bipartisan legislation that is now law to help keep fentanyl out of our communities by cracking down on the chemical manufacturers in China and the drug traffickers in Mexico.
- Sherrod stood up to Big Pharma by making sure Medicare can negotiate directly with drug companies to get the lowest costs for Ohioans. Sherrod also successfully capped the cost of insulin for Ohioans on Medicare to $35 a month and is now fighting to cap costs for all Ohioans.
- Sherrod is making sure the future of technology is built in Ohio, by Ohio workers, creating good union jobs, and is bringing home our semiconductor industry through the CHIPS Act. This legislation also led to Ohio securing a brand new Intel plant which is anticipated to create 20,000 jobs in Ohio.
- Sherrod has secured transformative investments in Ohio infrastructure — which will create good-paying jobs, expand rural broadband, remove lead from Ohio pipes and support key infrastructure projects like rebuilding the Brent Spence Bridge in Cincinnati. And he is making sure American workers and American iron and steel are used for every project.
